How it Works

All Digital Sojourns are grounded in famous historical journeys, through which sojourners travel along the pathways presented in the original stories to discover the past and explore the present.

1. Choose a journey

Select from a range of destinations, beginning wth the famous Japanese haiku poet Matsuo Bashõ’s 1689 The Narrow Road to the Far North.

2. Begin your exploration

Dive into the story by following an immersive video or audio-only pathway along which you will discovery the history and culture of the past and the creation and challenges of today

3. Learn and connect

Experience a fully immersive journey enriched with amply content and personal moments of self-discovery

4. Optional college credit

Optionally, enroll for a fee-based college-level course to pursue while participating in a Digital Sojourn (fees and restrictions may apply)
